Jean-Marie Normand obtained his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Nantes, France in January 2008. The subject of the thesis was: Virtual Camera Control.
Previously he obtained both BSc and MSc degrees in Computer Science, at the University of Nantes, France.
Before starting his PhD, Jean-Marie Normand received a Master in Computer Graphics from the University Claude Bernard of Lyon 1, France and another Master in Computer Science from the Universtiy of Nantes.
Jean-Marie was a PhD student and Research and Teaching Assistant at the LINA – Computer Science Laboratory of Nantes, of the University of Nantes, France. During his PhD his research interests were both control of virtal cameras as well as contraint programming.
Currently he is a post-doctoral fellow in the EVENT Lab – Experimental Virtual Environments for Neuroscience and Technology, led by Prof. Mel Slater at the University of Barcelona, Spain.
