Elias Giannopoulos received a BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 2002 from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland and an MSc in BioEngineering in 2004 from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland.
After completing his studies, he went on to work as an engineer in Soukos Robots S.A., a robotic systems manufacturer in Larissa, Greece and then to Theon Sensors S.A., a company specializing in the design and manufacture of electro-optical systems.
Currently he is working on the Immersence European Project, as well as the Beaming European Project and doing a PhD in Computing at UPC. He is member of the EVENT-Lab at UB.
